About GFA
The Georgia Fire Academy (GFA) is dedicated to the development and delivery of training such as firefighting,
leadership, technical rescue, hazardous material, investigation and inspection, to paid and volunteer firefighters
of Georgia. State of the art training is made possible by researching various training methods to ensure the highest
standard of quality is delivered to our customers. GFA offers an experiential approach to learning, balanced with the
classroom environment by providing students with realistic scenarios to better prepare responders for real world
applications. GFA staff field test equipment for function and durability while remaining current with cutting edge
technology. The National Fire Academy has designated GFA to host and deliver national programs to firefighters in Georgia.
Additionally, GFA provides assistance and support to area communities during major events or challenging circumstances as
they arise.
