Membership in the SCVFD is open to anyone over the age of 18 living or owning property in Seminole County Fire District Five.

The Board consists of the Fire Chief, president of the Ladies Auxiliary and seven elected community members.  The board members are elected by popular vote during the annual public meeting (held on the Saturday between the third Saturday in February and the first Saturday in March of each year).  A candidate for the board must reside in the district.

The Board is responsible for conducting the administrative and financial business of the SCVFD and they meet at the Community room the first Tuesday of each month at 7:00 PM.  The public is invited.
