| | | | | | | | The Spring Creek Volunteer Fire Department was founded in 1978 and formally organized with the goal and ambition to provide better emergency response for citizens, property and homeowners in Seminole County Fire District Five.
The first fire truck was housed at the old Pitts Service Center in 1978. On March 20, 1979 SCVFD volunteers responded to their first house fire.
Construction of the present fire station began in 1995 and was completed in 1996. The two story steel building with a large shelter at the north end is designed with facilities for future 24 hour manning.
