The SCVFD fire company consists of a Chief (Bruce Temples), a Lieutenant (Randall Earnest), an Administrative Officer (Bob Godwin).  In addition to basic skill training, many of the firefighters have received training in specialized firefighters techniques.  All firemen are CPR certified and must fulfill the training requirements of the State of Georgia for Volunteer Firefighters.

The firemen meet the first and third Monday of each month at 7:00 PM at the firehouse.  Meetings are open to the public.

We respond to:

• house and structure fires,
• auto and farm equipment fires,
• grass and wood fires, and
• gas spills.
  

We also respond to:

• auto accidents,
• flood emergencies,
• water and other rescues, and
• provide aid to all county emergency units.
